Am I disappointed?

Of course.

Who isn't?

Am I disappointed that we... In yourself.

I am determined to carry on doing what I've always done, which is trying to make the arguments for what I would call social justice and peace and socialism, but also for a world of peace and disarmament.

What we now have is a horrific situation with the world presiding over environmental disaster

presiding over growing human inequality and now spending three trillion dollars a year on weapons of destruction armaments and I raised this in Parliament last Monday.

The answer from the Defence Minister was that this would enable peace to come about eventually.

Interesting argument.

Of course I feel very depressed and very saddened by it all.

Does that mean I think everything that we've all done has ever been wrong?

No, I don't.

I just believe that we have been inadequate in making that case.

So I carry on.

And I do.

We got the most unbelievable levels of attack and abuse against me as an individual and still do.

At one level, I don't care because I believe in what I believe in and I'm not going to change that.

But the other level, it obviously is very damaging to a cause altogether.

And I remember that very well.

I remember in my office they were saying this.
