My favorite maybe is to put your own name on your calendar because it is so easy to just give our time away to other people.
And I know for a lot of people I've supported, I've dealt with this too, that that can be one of the biggest stressors because we're too busy doing things that maybe we don't want to do or that we feel like we have to do.
And it's just so easy to put our own needs way at the bottom of the list.
So something I started experimenting with clients and patients, you know, well over 10 years ago now was put your own name on your calendar, whether that's for your workouts, like your appointments, just time for a break, because that makes it not only does it prevent other people from booking that time, it's a subtle reminder that you matter just as much as everything else on that list.
Exactly.
Yeah.
Like literally like put your name, put David on your calendar or have your assistant put it on there.
So that way that is your time.
Even if it's like 10 minutes, it all, it still matters.
Mine are where I'm in a car that's falling off of a cliff backwards.
So I feel you.
You know, this is going to sound really basic, but what we eat can play a really big part.
The book has a whole section on specific foods and nutrients.
But if nothing else, just having balanced meals, you will be shocked at what a difference that can make.
Because when we're having a balance of protein, fat,
and carbohydrates at our meals, that's supporting stable blood sugar.
And that is a key aspect of our mental well-being because when our blood sugar is regulated, everything else works better too.
