Can you help me with this?

There's a reason Jesus left us the Holy Spirit, not just the Bible.

Because even the devil knows the Bible.

But if we have the Holy Spirit, then we can discern it.

Anything that is not of God will grieve the Spirit.

Right?

That's what I've learned.

Not my emotions.

It will grieve my Spirit.

It will actually grieve my Spirit.

So the way to discern if somebody has a Pharisee spirit, there is one thing that God told us to do, that Jesus told us to do above all commandments.

love thy neighbor love is the baseline of everything even if you're going to tell somebody they're sinning with love even if you're going to tell somebody they're going to hell with love the message there the underneath is always love right but when it comes to pharisees there is no love there it turns to condemnation so rather than conviction like the holy spirit convicts us

the Pharisee spirit will condemn a person and say, you know, actually I'm going to tell the whole world I think you're a witch.

And I want them all to agree with me so that you end up with nobody.

How could that be the Holy Spirit?

Because that's not conviction.

That's condemnation.

Also, I think in Matthew 18, and please correct me if I'm wrong, it says, if a brother or sister sins, you go to them directly.

Most people aren't going to someone directly.

They're going straight to putting them on blast.
