And if Tyler Heineman is the preferred catcher on Alejandro Kirk off days for your rotation, like what matters more?
Like, is it the way the catcher receives the ball and communicates with your starter or the occasional, well, I'm going to run into one here, which is usually what you get out of the catching position.
So I do think there's some nuance in that conversation, uh,
and I haven't, it's not like I've noticed anything that's particularly different about the way that Brandon Valenzuela catches, but I do think that it's worth a conversation with your starters.
I will say that it does look like he's a big leaguer.
Like he can, he can play.
Like that swing is for real.
And it might not come with the most consistency, but there are so few catchers in baseball that have that kind of consistency at the plate because behind the plate,
is where the majority of their value comes from.
So it's been great to see.
And yeah, they didn't trade him for nothing.

And the expectations on Brandon Valenzuela are that he will eventually be at least a backup catcher for the organization.
