Do not get me wrong.
It's a lot different when you're living in the video games versus when you're seeing it on a big screen done to someone's face.
So there's a couple of scenes where I went, oh my God.
And I had to like look away.
I genuinely can't even tell you the exact one, but there were some that I was like, oh, I wish you didn't cut that part.
Wish you didn't rip that part.
Toes, pinkies.
I will say this, not to compare it to like Five Nights at Freddy's whatsoever, but Five Nights at Freddy's 2 felt more catered to the fans than it did to like people that are new.
I think Mortal Kombat can still appeal to any audience.
You don't need to have played the games.
But there were significant moments that were definitely catered to the games, even if it was like really small draws.
Like the fatalities itself, I think, which isn't new from the first movie.
I noticed Kano, I think, does it in the first movie where you kind of wobble and then you fall with being hit.
But there's also just like for storyline, a lot of characters from the games that you're like, oh, I didn't know.
Or at least I didn't know.
I didn't look too much into this movie before.
I think I barely watched the trailers unless they had like Johnny Cage in it and they really focused on Johnny Cage in the promos and then in the movie Johnny Cage is a big part but I think equally a lot of other people are huge yeah
