So what this is, so the Monster Manual, as we talked about, is coming out in February. Is February 18th the official date? I know it's available earlier from friendly local gaming stores. But yeah, we've been getting more and more videos about the new D&D Monster Manual coming out. And they have three videos about the Fae, the Giants, and the Celestials.
I have watched the first two about the Fae and the Giants. And honestly, I didn't... I mean, they didn't give me much more information that I already knew from the press releases and what we said here already on the podcast about it. I think it's basically like a promo.

If you prefer to digest your news via video format, then this is a good way to do that instead of reading because I'd already read a lot of stuff. So, yeah, so they talked about the Fae and obviously a lot of creatures have been reclassified from humanoid to Fae, like the goblins and things like that. And they did acknowledge that some people were unhappy about this because of Hull's person,

with humanoids who can you use that on and there's other spells that specifically target humanoids and then obviously that doesn't count for them anymore they did point out that there are far more humanoid creatures than fey in the in the manual still so it's you know it's not like the whole person spell is now hold no one doesn't work Well, that's not what they said.

But the hold no one spell sounds very sad as well. It sounds like you're cursing someone. Your life will be you will hold no one. It's like you'll be forever alone. They do talk about hags.

an ability where even if you kill her get her down to zero health she has the ability to kind of get away she's only permanently dead if she has her well i've forgotten the term for it special item that each hag has um if that's near them then they'll be permanently dead but if it's not they won't so it means for the fight you do have to do some like research and it's individual to each hag so it could be you know

whatever their little special item is. So it gives the option to have reoccurring fights, and also they've really gone heavy on the ability of hags to curse people and do things.

Another thing is if your party kills a hag, an arch-hag even, sorry, but doesn't permanently kill her, she's got this vengeful ability where she can curse you, and for as long as she's alive, you have this permanent curse. So it means you'll have to go back and deal with her properly at some point.

Yeah, so I like that.

They didn't say exactly what it was. I think there's a range. There's options so that you can, you know, style your type of fae with that. And they talked about the fae wild and... Yeah. Oh, somebody says it's called an anathema in the comments. Yeah, that's the thing that the hags have. But yeah, so that was quite interesting talking about the fae.
