That's also the first time I saw... That's a great representation of Nosferatu.
Yeah, I was about to say, like, I didn't know really about Nosferatu.
Peter.
So Nosferatu to me is Peter.
Yeah.
But yeah, so like The Lost Boys has this like really like these two dumb kids called the Frog Brothers who like consider themselves like vampire hunters.
And there's like a great like montage in that as well of them like preparing to like vanquish these vampires.
And I just feel like I want more of that in more movies.
I do kind of like it when we apply the destructive capabilities of vampires and the impact they have on communities.
to new scenarios so like that's what i loved about the gilda stories um where you kind of have like this big expansive like time period being covered and then that's also what i loved about sinners where you have like we're going back to a community that necessarily doesn't necessarily like get represented in vampire fiction quite a lot so like just kind of like fresh
takes not necessarily having to change the original lore that we all know and love so much, but which use it in new ways that make us think about things a little bit differently.
There has been a lot more talk about upcoming, like, YA, because I work in children's, vampire fiction lately.
So, I mean, potentially that's indicating that we are, like, swinging a little bit back around.
It still feels, like, very firmly rooted in the romanticist space, though, so...
yeah i think so i mean i think i've said this already but i don't personally find the book to be super engaging um like narratively like i wouldn't read it for enjoyment um but i do think that i'd recommend it to everyone like to read at least once especially if you're someone that enjoys vampires or the horror genre um because there is so much in there like bram really
packed that text and he'd never even been to Romania yeah he's Irish exactly and so there's so much in there I think that's why it's so like ripe for adaptation um because there are just all these little threads that you can follow and things that you can like like that you've seen different creators um kind of like latch onto and be like oh my god I can imagine a whole story coming out of this and then that's how we get like hundreds and hundreds of adaptations and
and different vampire novels that aren't necessarily adaptations but take parts of the lore and turn it into something new.
So I think its value can't be understated as much as I don't enjoy the reading experience.
Yeah.
Well, I mean, if you're telling... Okay.
