And I also brought The Dangers of Smoking in Bed by Mariana Enriquez, which is a semi-recent horror novel, kind of literary feminine rage vibes.

I guess I was like an angsty teen girl, like many of us.
And this was post Twilight.
The market had been flooded with vampire fiction, which I love.
I love Vampire Academy, love Vampire Diaries, love Twilight.
But I just wanted something a bit different.
