The problem of technology, I mean, this goes back, you know, we've discussed on so many different shows, I've written about it quite a bit.
The problem of technology has gone back to certainly the early myths of like the Gollum and things like that.
And then you see it more and more in the Industrial Revolution.
You have people like Marshall McLuhan in the mid-20th century, Lewis Mumford.
who were talking about the degradation of human life by way of machines pushed down from the top.
You know, more and more you got people like Neil Postman in the later 20th century that were talking about how the amusements of technology
were degrading people.
It's kind of self-chosen.
Aldous Huxley is just rereading Brave New World.
So I guess what I'm saying, Steve, is that this is the sentiment that human beings can create devices, not just to make life better, not just for convenience, but devices that really degrade the quality of one's life or at the extreme of
will bring people into total subjugation or just destroy them, wipe them off the map.
And we've been accused of being fear mongers and so on and so forth.
The fear monger market is enormous.
So if we're supposed to be the fear mongers, I don't think we're really doing our jobs because I don't remember any time us saying that this was some sort of hopeless situation in which no one would be able to survive the outcome of advanced technology and AI
