So there are ways to go out into the media environment in so many ways and so many platforms, investing in organizations of all sizes from the Guardian US where my wife works, but down to individual creators who are just trying to sponsor... their ability to do that work part time on top of whatever else they do.

I think we have to say at the top of this that obviously any politically charged investigation is illegal and shouldn't happen and is awful and not something that we should accept as normal and discuss as like, oh, what are the politics outcomes for this? At ActBlue, it's essentially a public utility for Democratic campaigns, especially the campaigns that are the smallest and need to get their infrastructure up and going. It's a turnkey option for people who are just starting out their campaign to try to do anything in the electoral process. And yeah, it shouldn't be taken lightly that they're a target.

But it's really up to all of us as donors to make sure that the organizations we give to are behaving ethically and rewarding those who do behave ethically.
