Anyway, let's talk about something that was announced overnight.

And it is, of course, the Donald.

He's had something to say about trade talks with Canada.

And if you needed a reminder, and if you needed one, which I suspect you don't, how petty Donald is, the reason he's cancelling the talks is because he didn't like an advert that was put out by the province of Ontario featuring the great late President Ronald Reagan, who is very much anti-tariff.

Let's stay with the US, but move a little bit further afield.

The sanctions on Russian oil giants, Rosneft and Luke Oil, could have an immense impact if China and India stop buying Russian oil.

And the Chinese are already starting to hint at that.

It will be very interesting, especially if the Qataris are going to open up the taps to let oil flow that little bit more.

Let's move to France now.

It's going to try to tax its citizens no matter where they live.

And I'm sure it'll go down very well with very wealthy groups in France.

I see that they have a 45% income tax, top rate of income tax over there.

And then there's a surcharge of either 3% or 4% if you're earning at least a quarter of a million or half a million subject to joint taxation, according to what I just read online.

And now finally, and very, very briefly, Bank of Ireland has revised upwards its growth expectations for this year.

Yeah, the Brits, the French and the Germans would love those rates of growth.

Kate, enjoy yourself down in Cork.
