And even when, you know, in latter years, Conlon, publicly in 22, after those US sanctions, he maintained that his primary management was under his brother, Jamie Conlon, who had been a vice president of MTK.
And he sort of rejected the MTK links.
I think that still hung over him.
But from that kind of point on,
on... There would be big fights he'd be having and there'd be virtually no coverage down here.
It was just like a... You know, just nothing.
But then if you clicked on Northern Irish coverage, it'd be the biggest show in town and it's like three days till Michael Collins' world title fight, for instance.
I'd say a lot of casual sports fans in the Republic don't really remember his world title fight because it was just not a thing here.

he's gone.
It's not happening.

Is that about right?

Strange dynamic whereby post-MTK, a lot of people lost touch with his career almost because they predominantly maybe take their news through Irish Republic of Ireland papers or sites or TV channels that he kind of disappeared from view for a lot of people.
