It's another quip.

Joe's recent tales of hair related quips sparked a memory which hasn't left me for 20 plus years.

This was sent 22nd of March last year.

I remember after finishing school late, occasionally I'd have to meet my dad in town for a lift home.

Sometimes he'd pass time between work, finishing and waiting for me to arrive by a quick trip to the local barber, Carlos.

Looking back now, this seems an odd choice as he was bald and by no means a vain man.

But a man after Joe's heart, a man who did not enjoy frittering away his well-earned money on trivial things...

Upon him being seated in the barber's chair and being asked what he was after today, I often recall a look of smug delight across his face as he glanced back at me in the mirror before reeling off this customary line.

Just a little off the back and sides, please, mate.

actually i really liked the boring family day-to-day stuff you've got any really mundane boring day-to-day family just likes his mum driving outside and waiting why are you asking people just tell us something your mum and dad did that was really boring god like we don't need that
