Fuck me, it's been a year and a half ago.

I thought you might be interested to hear from someone who moved to the countryside with zero regrets.

For context, my husband and I were living in London with our two daughters.

He's originally from the New Forest, and we'd always known that London living was not a long-term solution for us.

After a few false starts, thanks to Brexit, COVID, and an idiotic mortgage broker, we finally found the right place for us.

We're currently nestled in the most amazing village on the Hampshire-Wiltshire border.

We're equidistant to Salisbury, Winchester, and Rumsey, and live about a five-minute drive away from an incredibly sweet village called Stockbridge that has cafes and restaurants.

To satisfy those needs.

My husband still works in London three days a week and the commute is pretty straightforward.

18 minutes down the road to Winchester train station and straight through from there.

This is so lovely.
