So they've really had...
consistent offense from like Contreras and Wilier Abreu all season.
You've seen under Chad Tracy, they're mixing and matching with, you know, you talked about Connor Falefa coming in.
I mean, they've turned him into an everyday guy because he's actually hit a little bit.
And they've also had the Nick Sogards and Mickey Gaspers of the world that they're relying on to lead off or hit second.
And they're just trying to put together at-bats and put together offense.
And that's been just an impossible task, especially at Fenway, where this is a team that
unlike all the good Red Sox teams in the past, is not built to mash at Fenway.
And they've seen that play out, you know, with the home record, the run total at home, and just kind of the overall state of things.
Yeah, I mean, he's been the worst chaser in baseball for his entire career.
I mean, legitimately in every category.
And watching the at-bats, there's some times where it's almost a predetermined outcome where, you know, he gets three sweepers in the dirt and that's it.
During certain times where he's in that mode.
And we've seen that be two or three months at a time.
We've seen that be a few weeks at a time.
This year, you know, I think he's taking more of an at-bat by at-bat approach and
And he is really focused on having an attack plan.
So he and the Red Sox coaches, which there's been a lot of different ones so far this year, deserve credit with that because they've turned a guy who, you know, has always been a real struggle with plate discipline into, you know, obviously not league average or better than that, but improved enough where, you know, the pop he has or some of the bat to ball can, you know, really, you
turn into uh productive at bats this is a guy who's always been clutch uh even when he was chasing a lot can run into one for a walk-off home run we've seen that over the years but definitely for me the most consistent two and a half months we've seen from him at the plate this is a guy they gave an extension to there's a lot of them on the team but this is a guy they gave one to a couple years ago and um you know when you add that you know not just good defensive center but elite gold glove level to a pretty good bat and the speed and everything else you know it's a dynamic player and they don't have any of those right now
Yeah, it's just been such a roller coaster.
