You know, it's tough with that one because...
early other than the last couple starts has been great totally as i said has been excellent so the young pitchers you know including harrison that they had at the beginning of spring training have all pitched pretty well but it's always tough you know red sox fans are obsessed with watching kyle harrison dominate another uniform even if he wasn't a guy that people had high expectations for you know three four months ago when uh we were in spring training
Yeah, to me, it's kind of going all in on what Craig Breslow's bread and butter as a former pitcher is.
I think he deserves a lot of credit for fast-tracking totally and early to the majors.
Those guys have been really two of the biggest bright spots of the season, early pitch in the playoffs last year, totally had some good starts down the stretch, but has been awesome all season since coming up in late April.
And you also have to give β
you know, Breslow credit for the two big off season additions in the rotation and gray and Suarez, you know, those guys have both been really, really good and definitely not the problem.
Also the Wilson Gutierrez trade, he's been excellent.
And so there have been some really good moves in addition to the, you know, Kyle Harrison's of the world.
And obviously Chris sale for Vaughn Grissom being one of the worst trades in the history of the Red Sox.
But I think when you look at it, they, they,
went really, really, really clearly on this run prevention model.
They're going to play really good defense, and they're going to pitch, and they're going to try to win games 3-2 or 4-3 or whatever that might be.
And it turns out getting those three or four runs has been a lot harder than they thought it would be, in part because they put a ton on two guys who barely have contributed at all.
Roman Anthony was not great for the first month when he played, and he's been hurt since May 4th.
Trevor Story was really, really bad, striking out a ton, then got hurt and is out for a couple months, as he has been, you know, in most of the seasons here.
And then, you know, some other guys just haven't taken that jump.
Marcello Meyer, as a rookie, has struggled offensively.
Durbin, as I've talked about.
Durant's had a really, really streaky year where he's, you know, still hitting around, you know, 200 or a little lower, depending on the day.
