I was never going to surf in one because I was retiring.
But I thought it was amazing.
I thought it was going to be really cool.
I thought, you know, I was going to see, we might have seen, like, G-Land or somewhere in Indo.
Big one year and the following year we'd be somewhere else and,
But, yeah, that kind of β I'm really happy it's gone back to the pipeline end and for a world title.
No, they're all good surfers and they're good guys and they're amazing.
just where they're all from all over the world you know there's um you know spanish aussies americans there's brazilians there's all of them so they've all got a good knowledge in surfing um but the way i guess the subjective part is you've got to judge the maneuvers and all that kind of stuff but sometimes it's the stuff that happens between the maneuvers and setting that up that i guess there can be a lot of you know chatter and stuff on the person and it doesn't
that's where i really see you know especially the bottom turn is a big one for me just that's the foundation maneuver in surfing is getting up and doing a bottom turn to get into the wave so and that's what's a lot of them will do yeah if they're doing four stage bottom turns or two that's just more what i think and yeah i'm like i love watching a guy that can do it all in one motion
You take off and you just get into the wave, you know.
They come down and they sit there and they can't find their timing or their speed.
To me, it's, yeah, I just think that's just my style of surfing.
Mate, the Brazilians have always been there.
They've always been strong.
Yeah, tinfoil hats probably.
Nah, I mean, it wasn't until they started winning world titles, but man, there's been so many good Brazilian surfers before the Brazilian, young Brazilian storm came in.
We used to compete against heaps of them.
