Because that's a guy who meant a lot, not only when he went to L.A.
and the coaching he did, but then on TV in the States.
It's been tough.
He had to kind of retire out of the TV with what's going on.
It seems like talking to the Saskatchewan guys, he means a lot to everyone there, the guys who kind of came after him.
I'm looking at these junior numbers too.
69 games in your last year, you had 40 goals, 41 assists and 258 penalty minutes.
So obviously at that level, like you were highly skilled, probably getting power play time.
And as you turn to pro, like the offensive numbers other than one year weren't really there.
So like, was it hard for you to kind of just adapt to that bottom six role all of a sudden?
And like, that was kind of it for your, for majority of your NHL career?
So you got to play with Tiger Williams in Detroit for a year, huh?
Yeah, I'm looking because it's weird.
For me, I think of the wings and everything came together mid-'90s.
But when you got there in 85, 86, I didn't realize you made the playoffs for a little bit.
And then it was like early-'90s, the struggles came.
And what did you see kind of change over time?
I know people have talked about Iserman became more of a defensive โ
player like well well maybe sacrificing some points but that whole change from what happened not just the new players coming in how did like the culture change was it all scotty bowman and and eiserman changing his game a little bit yeah so we uh we were really bad in the mid 80s
How were the crowds and the atmosphere inside the Joe during those years?
