The U.S. added 228,000 jobs in March, far surpassing expectations and beating February's numbers by more than 100,000. The robust job growth signals strength in the labor market despite growing economic uncertainty. But the unemployment rate did tick up to 4.2 percent. Also, Wall Street took a hit Thursday with major indexes posting their worst drops since 2020.
