And Yvonne McQuillan, when it came to her, said, you know, when you guys were saying that there were people in the gallery connected with rowing who were shaking their heads and saying that's not true.
Now, for me, that's a stop the presses moment, and maybe everybody should have dug more into that information.
But that was a jarring moment.
Rowan Ireland are presenting this as historical, and people in the gallery are shaking their heads when they say everything's good now.
So that jumped out.
And then at this stage, time was coming against the committee.
They had wanted to do a second round of questioning, but then someone whispered to Kelly there was no time left.
So he sort of went around the room.
It was a bit mishmash.
He was sort of like, look, take 30 seconds, say what you want to say.
And now maybe, maybe this was a little bit of a grandstanding, politicians politic after all.
But also, in fairness to him, perhaps Peter Chapclear felt that both rowing Ireland and sport Ireland had got off lightly and the time was about to be up.
So with his 30 seconds, Deputy Clear didn't bother asking a question.
It was a strong way to finish.
One other quick point to mention.
It emerged yesterday that in 2024, Sport Ireland, in July, threatened Rowing Ireland with the suspension of their funding, given all the issues.
And then just a few months later, Rowing Ireland parted ways with their very successful high-performance director.
