So, I mean, it was frustrating in that, like, anytime they tried to get into specifics, i.e.

like this key question of where did this report go after Tokyo, this promised cultural review after Tokyo?

And so Barry McWilliams is saying, well, look, I mean, it's very disappointing, but obviously none of us were there or had anything to do with that.

That was always their go to whenever they got into specifics of, you know, what happened, why it happened.

What kind of struck me as well as, you know, kind of it was crying out for it a little bit.

was almost, you know the way the simplest question can undo you?

Almost just, how would you characterise Mauro Giovanni's methods?

And could you describe them as you see them, as you saw them, and you think they're fine, et cetera?

Because we never got into the teeth of, there was lots of, look, we've all read the reports and we've all heard from everybody.

I almost wanted the Rowan Ireland crew there to be asked, do you actually think it was okay?

You know, it was like, we regret if anybody was, you know, founded X, Y and Zed.

But I thought there was an undercurrent of, we're not necessarily going out of our way here to say it was definitely wrong.

I just didn't get that from them.

I'm sorry if anyone took offence it's not yeah yeah exactly you know you know I tell a crude joke and you know if somebody took offence I'm obviously sorry I was wondering like was that just an omission of their part because they weren't asked about it or did they actually think deep down listen this is the school of hard knocks we won the medals there's a few aggrieved rowers out there we're sorry about that but actually deep down I couldn't work out

And almost a little bit, like, victimised.
