I can't believe my memory on that, that I actually can remember a month ago.
Cause I don't even know what I had for lunch yesterday.
And I do remember if I'm not mistaken, that was when Rogers had, had only given up maybe one or run the entire season.
Like he was, he was racing through the first four or five weeks of the season.
And that was the first time that any team had really gotten to him.
And that's again, where the Monday morning quarterbacks go, Oh, how could you go to Tyler Rogers?
Well, the guy had been like, so to that point,
Why did you have to go to Louisville?
I mean, how could you not have faith in Rodgers at that point?
The other thing I would say is kudos to you for your Googling because you're clearly far better than me or Ben Nicholson-Smith in terms of trying to find that stat on the 10 walks right away.
But it's just crazy to me to think that the Blue Jays were even in a position to potentially win that game.
And that's why I said at the beginning of this conversation, it probably did play out the way it was supposed to when we look back at Friday, Saturday.
But I guess Sunday's the one that kind of really stung.
I mean, I think that's paramount, especially in game one, because if you don't get a solid start from him and it's an early call to the bullpen, I think that taxes you not only in this game but for the rest of the series.
And I think you laid it out perfectly in terms of what this pitching staff is dealing with right now, not only in this starting rotation, but, heck, we've addressed now for about 10 minutes some of the question marks or some of the issues that are potentially there with the bullpen.
Having said that, Blake, I don't know if you would agree or not,
I think that the Blue Jays have done a pretty solid job, even in spite of some of the stuff we just spoke of.
And maybe this sounds stupid coming off a game where you gave up nine runs on Sunday.
But for the most part, I think the pitching staff has been maybe not great, but good or even better than expected considering all of the challenges that they've dealt with.
I, to me, look at, and again, you kind of give them a bit of a pass because of, okay, you still don't have Alejandro Kirk.
