It's funny Brian, we've been talking about this for 30 years, best available player need, and it's never in a vacuum.
The best way to describe how this really works is every GM would love ideally to always pick best available.
So you wind up picking best available with sort of a percentage of your need involved
So every GM's goal during free agency is to enter the draft looking at a big white board, it's probably not a white board anymore, it's probably AI, it's probably a robot, and seeing there to be a starter at every, they say, can we get lined up?
And they can line up.
They can start a team right now with the possible exception of maybe outside linebacker.
But they're okay there with Ventrell Miller.
If he starts, they're fine and good with that.
Maybe defensive tackle.
But Eric Armstead, Devon Hamilton, you can start there and feel good on opening day.
