You know, he's been quietly one of our most reliable guys.

Yeah, the young boys.

It's funny, you know, you have those cases every year, you know, I think like looking back to where we were like a month ago to where we are now and I think definitely trending in the right direction and guys are playing better.

It was like barger last year.

Nathan Lucas last year almost, or Miles, where kind of some unsung heroes stepped up, you know.

So I think those guys, especially Valley at the catching position when you lose somebody like Kirky, what he's done offensively has been a pleasant surprise.

And he's really kind of grown up a little bit in all areas of the game since he's been playing a little bit more consistently.

So you need those contributions.

You know, some days they're bigger than others, but you need those contributions to kind of keep yourself afloat and

No, I think he's been fairly consistent in the box the entire time.

Again, I think it's a tough task those last couple outings against Salem, against Sanchez.

But I like his intensity of his at-bats, the way he swings the bat.

He's not scared.

He's making progress on defense, and he's kind of showing some good command of the strike zone.

So he's been, for about 100 at-bats now, pretty damn consistent.

No, it's not.

And I think as a hitting coach, you always feel the need to step in and say, okay, I have the fix or I have the answer.

Coaching in general, I feel like you do that.
