We talked about the outfield and how that's an evolving thing with Sanch and Pena being around Barsh and now getting Nate back.
But Valley, yeah, I think he's growing every single day and understanding how to prepare, understanding that it's okay to take some chances.
I mean, it's a pretty...
It's a gutsy call yesterday with the tying run at second and the go-ahead run at first.
But being okay with that and leading into your skill set.
So it's definitely something we talk about all the time, something that we've been very good at.
And you go, hey, if we're going to try to be consistent here, we're going to have to do those little things to give ourselves a chance to work a walk in the eighth inning and take the lead or get a big hit late in the game and take the lead.
So it's definitely been trending in the right direction.
No, I think if the player is leading it and kind of living it, you know, it's always better that way.
Those conversations happen so much behind the scenes between the staff and the players and player to player, you know, like.
listening to Vladdy and, and, and Brandon talk about that play specifically, you know, they talk about it sometimes when I'm out making a pitching change about what pitch they're thinking about doing it with what runner.
And that's just kind of how we operate, but the player usually tells you when he's ready for it.
You know, I think that just the play last night, I said it after the game, like we saw Pete's lead, the initial first pitch and kind of where their first base coach was positioned and, and,
I think myself, Vlad, Marlo, Drew, and Valley all kind of were like, whoa, there's an opportunity.
So all being on the same page, you know, as opposed to maybe a couple weeks ago, you're getting Valley's attention and kind of, you know, saying, hey, hey, look at this, look at this.
I think he's kind of caught up there a little bit.
So the player tells you, you know, and it's been cool to watch him grow each and every game.
Thank you.
Thanks, Jeff.
Be well.
