You know, going back to, I would just say a couple years ago, I think we misfired.
You know, there were some things there.
But, you know, we kind of woke up the next morning and, okay, look, we kept our eye on the prize and we stepped back a little bit.
But, you know, some things could have happened differently there.
But it was, look, this is a much different situation, you know.
And it really got, to me, it got very exciting when Don Hall came
uh in fact i've told him this but we were talking about it one day to make sure i heard him right i had to stand up make sure all the air passengers were clear because he said john i'd like to think about talking to you about reimagining crown center and look around you here this is uh this is a one-of-a-kind site in the center of a great american city this is really hard to come by and then don we have a shared vision of what we can build here beyond beyond the baseball
The team will put about, we talked about it as a $1.9 billion stadium project for stadium office and infrastructure.
We have plans to put $800 million, and the team does.
And then the rest of that investment will come from our private partners here for the development.
Yeah, the mechanics of it.
Who will own the stadium itself?
Just to be clear, the Royals will purchase that from the development company, our partnership.
and then we will, I don't know what exactly that trend, but we'll contribute it to the city or whatever governmental entity will own it, and then we'll lease that back from them.
You know, I think if you think about controlling more in terms of that could be a great entrance to the stadium.
You know, Don and Hallmark feel very strongly that we preserve a good part of this square here because of the activities that they do here.
I mean, another thing great about this partnership is
We're going to bring more people to the site, but there's already a lot going on here.
