And that second car got younger and younger.

It was still old, but it was a much more developed car and slightly more sacrificial, I suppose.

And that helped me to keep the other car, the Beetle, in better condition.

And it made me appreciate the Beetle a bit more because I wasn't sort of hammering it on a daily basis.
