I'm figuring out what you are.
So I have some thoughts related to the Devers conversation we were just having, and I want to get to them, but Allison in Cambridge has been waiting to talk to you.
Allison, you're on with Rob Bradford.
Thank you, Allison.
You're definitely more of an authority on how you think ownership views this team.
Like, is it still a matter of whether the Red Sox, when it's Fenway Sports Group, are the priority of their holdings?
Emotional or from a business perspective.
And, Bradfo, here's what's extra frustrating about it right now is that baseball is finally in a moment again.
It's finally from a perspective of... Can I ask about that, though?
From a ratings perspective, it's...
Look, you can talk about football and everybody else.
And as a big NBA fan and someone who has a ton of emotional ties to that, I feel like I'm constantly arguing on behalf of the viability of the NBA beyond just clips that are on YouTube or stream channels or whatever.
But you can't deny that the World Series played out well for MLB and that impending lockout or not.
they had a hot year.
And so why wouldn't the Red Sox look at that and say maybe there is some more viability here?
Which is wild because it is – especially with the World Series, that is where a ton of people watch the games.
Oh, we had rebuilding the farm system.
Okay, but this brings us to a point that I think is very real, which is you bring up the Devers of it all hanging over everything and that part of the reason that they moved on from Devers was because Bregman was such a good fit and it was becoming a problem in the clubhouse.
Now...
When they moved Devers, they acknowledged at the time on that weirdo Zoom that they did that there was no way they could play it off as being a good baseball move because he is such a talented player and a huge bat that they weren't going to replace immediately.
