The Mets are kind of a disaster.
I'm not sure how many of their players you'd really want right now, at least those that would be available.
The Giants just seem like they're a team with pieces, but not a real coherent group.
And so if I'm a team that's looking to make a move, again, I don't think they'll move Jung-Hoo Lee.
He's having a really nice season.
Bader on the pitching side, Robbie Ray.
Again, none of these are perfect fits for teams out there, but I think they have enough good players that the Giants have a chance to be one of those aggressive sellers if they seize upon the opportunity in a year in which not a lot of teams are that out of it to be able to sell.
He would.
And, by the way, the Yankees were a team that had been connected to Adamas before.
And let's also be clear about this as we talk about Yankees issues.
Volpe's had a chance to play again.
The numbers haven't been good.
And this is now a ton of time in which Volpe just hasn't hit.
Interestingly, and I'm just thinking about this notion of change of scenery players and how many at-bats is enough to say that maybe it's not working great.
Check how many at-bats plate appearances now Jackson Holiday has had in Baltimore.
I'm not saying that they're trying to move him, but they may be at the point where if they start to gain some ground and are more of a competitive team, again, he could be a candidate change of scenery one way or the other because for a while he was untouchable.
But now I believe he's close to 1,000 plate appearances, and it really hasn't ever gotten going for him.
Injuries have been a part of it, too.
So I'm always fascinated by at what point in time does the performance of a prospect start to become the player's identity and who the player is?
Because not all prospects are the same.
