But we're still just not seeing that many American League teams as you know.
playing that well at the moment.
There's only a handful that are above 500.
So the league in and of itself, I believe, is allowing the Yankees a bit of a longer grace period than they would normally have to make this addition.
Correct.
And there are probably some teams as well that may have, and this would be the one that would fascinate me, and I don't think it's going to happen, but I'm just saying this is an interesting thought exercise.
Would you ever, ever, ever see a scenario in which Jaron Duran becomes the Yankee, right?
Because Boston is struggling.
They're probably going to be sellers.
They've been trying to rebalance their outfield and their roster for a long time.
You can't trade with the Yankees, can you?
Because Jaron Duran, when you think about the outfield, his ability out there, that ballpark being ideally suited for him as a lefty batter, I think Duran in that ballpark would be, it'd be a great change of scenery for him.
But the interesting team, I'll say this, big picture, and I think they could be a trade partner for the Jays, for the Yankees, for anybody that's a buyer.
is the Giants.
Because the Giants, you look at them and the Padres for all their ups and downs offensively and Tatis and one homer for him this season and how much he's struggled.
But the Padres are still ahead of the Giants.
And so when the Giants and Buster Posey getting deeper and deeper into his tenure, figuring out what they're all about,
who they're going to move, etc.
They're a team that I think still needs to do some serious surgical work on their roster to get more competitive.
Because you look at the National League Central, basically all those teams are in it.
