It's the additional development and upgrade opportunities.
So it's a catch-up mechanism which is being evaluated now post-Canada.
So if you're 2% off, you get...
extra developments you get one upgrade this year one for next year if you're four percent off it's two and two with and if you're honda you get to do whatever you want yeah endless millions and uh endless um test bench hours
So the problem then now is if you fall into Adewo, so you've then got an advantage based on your current power unit, what does that mean when we revise the power units for next year to make them resilient to increase fuel flow?
You're then ingrained with an advantage, basically, because you'll have more budget, more test bench hours, you can optimise it more and it could give you an advantage.
So this is a much more political debate than the practicalities of a chassis, which can be addressed in the COSCAP.
You've got to make decisions based on what are the competitive implications?
How could this shuffle things around?
Because Adewa is already controversial.
Mercedes or Ademan, it should not be a mechanism to allow a team to leapfrog themselves to the front.
It should only go to Honda.
It should only be allowed as someone who's got it totally wrong has ability to catch up.
But Ferrari is open.
It sees Adewa as a chance to catch up with Mercedes.
It's making plans around it.
We'll see what the outcome is of the FI's investigations, but I think the bigger risk of this being derailed is where this leaves Adewo than the chassis issue.
Yeah, I think they've done awfully well to get us to this point because we could have had a scenario where they pretend there's no problems or they don't try to get things across the line.
They don't become proactive.
Don't go and speak to the drivers.
