Even if you told an AI company, hey, you need to audit the decision.

The AI can hallucinate, lie, make up a different reason for how it made the decision.

It's not deliberately lying.

It just goes, oh, okay, I weighed all these factors, but now you want me to write down what I did.

Oh, that sounds like a lot of work.

That's going to be really hard.

Well, here's a version of that, and you have no way of checking whether it's correct or not.

Instead of a black box, it's a black box with a sticker over it that says what's in there, but it may or may not be what's actually in there.

Yeah, sharpen your sword, man.

This is probably going to be a whole separate show at some point, but I'm curious what you think of AI and its use in fighting crime.
