I think to some shooters that are novices to what that feels like, they may not understand the difference in how the gun feels in hand.
But I'll try to explain it for those that have not shot ported guns before.
Okay.
if you imagine a gun that's not ported you have the uh round engaged going down the barrel all that combustion and gas and science and all the things happening and the gun goes out once it goes out the gun is snapping up and down right um back in place that recoil depending on how your grip fundamentals are and all that how it feels in your hand
you know, you keeping the gun on track.
That is one feeling.
When you put a, let's just go with a chunk port or basically a big hole at the front of the barrel.
And I want to make sure I'm clear.
In our definition at MacBros,
Guns are ported when it is the slide and the barrel both ported, not what the X-Macro is, which is a short barrel, longer slide that has a window in it.
That effectively does nothing.
right it has the slide is cut but there's no barrel that is right no no you're you're you're effectively not doing the job well you're you're you need it to go all the way through to be an inline so a chunk port by definition is a large compensated solid size port at the very end of the barrel
And if done correctly, has back boring at where the comp ends or where the comp begins, I guess you could say, so that the rifling is still intact, right?
The feeling of shooting that is going to be quicker, right?
but also, in some people's perspective, more violent because you have all of that combustion of that bullet traveling until it gets to that chunk, and then there's a big release of gas, which is where you see the fireball come up.
and that's what drives the gun back down quickly.
So you have all that pressure all the way up until that comp, and then it releases, it comes back down.
For some people that are more seasoned in shooting, that's the preferred feeling they want, is they want to see the gun go up and snap back down, gun go up, snap back down.
The physical feeling in hand,
It's not that different to them.
