Ooh, I love papi.
So it's found that they're actually phenomenal at keeping the seeds aloft.
Like they create a kind of vortex that until it was seen when they started testing papi was thought to be impossible.
Yeah, and that vortex not only makes it travel up and out and away in such a way that if it was shaped any differently, it wouldn't do that.
But if that little thing lands on water, that same vortex is going to form a little air bubble around it and protect it.
One of my prized possessions is this dandelion puffball encased in resin.
And it's like the real deal.
And I've never understood how it worked, but it turns out that if you actually take a dandelion puffball and actually not just put water in it, but submerge it in water, the puffball does not, it doesn't collapse.
Isn't that nuts?
It's amazing.
