Other than that, I don't have a lot of regrets.
I would have done some things differently for sure.
I wish I wouldn't have been so insecure and felt like I belonged in this business because I felt I didn't feel that for the longest time.
I felt like I was sort of an outsider with, you know, just like a fraud almost.
Why do you feel, I mean, why?
I don't know, I just did.
I felt like I was this kid from North Dakota who like didn't belong in this town.
And I think that that was one thing that
I do now, it took me a long time to sort of trust that I do belong here, but yeah, it kept me out of so many situations, going to parties, going to do certain things because I just didn't feel like I was part of this community.
Yeah.
Is that true?
I've never heard that.
Because I did.
I had imposter syndrome until, I mean, I don't think it was until I directed my first movie.
I was like...
that was the time i was like okay you know what you do belong here because you now have the ability to like make something and you don't have to depend on you know you're not just like showing up as a a a pawn in this grand sort of project you you did it and i think that that was what kind of put me over you know as far as feeling like i you know
earned my spot at the table, maybe.
