Why am I even briefly entertaining the thought of having this man back in my life?
Did Chris really ask Will to pretend to be together for some paparazzi pictures while out in Sydney with Gia?
Again, I can't say for certain because I'm not Chris or Will.
But what I can tell you is Chris and Sam, they broke up and left the show in mid-October.
They then filmed the reunion towards the end of November, which was like when he started chatting to Will again.
And then guess what happened in Sydney on December 8th last year in Potts Point, which is a short drive from Bondi.
Chris and Gia made their red carpet debut together while attending an active wear launch alongside some of her local influencers nobody's heard of.
And guess who was also there with them as they arrived?
A paparazzi from Daily Mail who they'd arranged the whole thing with.
And when that photographer wrote up his pictures for the Daily Mail, he soft-launched the pair as ones to watch, apparently like making no secret of the fact the three of them were working together on pictures and stories.
This is what the article with those pictures read.
Gia, who is yet to make her reality TV debut and was pictured with co-star Chris Robinson, looked right at home among the flashbulbs as she strutted into the exclusive bash with the confidence of someone who knows she is about to become a household name.
You know the funniest thing about that article is the fact that at the time it was published, no one had any idea who Gia and Chris were because the show had only just stopped filming.
They were still a good couple of months away from being on the telly, and why would they even be invited to this, let alone papped, unless they'd arranged it all with said paparazzi, which would in fact confirm that, yes, Chris and Gia
We're in Sydney together the end of last year and arranging pictures with paparazzi.
So to circle back to did he maybe ask Will, hey, do you want to fake be my boyfriend for pictures?
That feels a little bit more like it probably happened.
Anyway, to now conclude this unnecessarily long podcast, I'll recap my main takeaway.
Married at first sight had the potential to do something powerful here at a time when the gay community was and still is facing so much hate.
But as usual, they decided to do the opposite, which is what we all just come to now expect from this show.
