So, you know, just like an old West duel, if you both come out the holster and you both hit each other, but one's faster, then... Most people let the scoring stop them.
Yeah, for me, the main thing I was focused on when it actually was taking place was, like, when... I'll never forget, like, one of the stages.
Again, it was just, like, I wasn't used to the shooting zones or the stakes on the ground.
And so I didn't see my mag all the way, come out the draw, and the mag drops.
I take a shot, and I just froze.
I'm like, oh, shit.
And I just, you know, wasn't expecting that.
And then...
i grabbed the mag off the ground single hand put a double tap on the target and just keyhole two shots and i'm like all right hell yeah okay and then the rest of the stage planning went out the door and i'm like all right the highlight is that i recovered and did a strong hand only not necessary and did great and i think i threw like a 13 on that which was pretty cool for a split and
And then the rest I kind of got through, and the stage was not, like, excellent time-wise, but I was just more impressed with recovery.
And then I told myself, okay, next time get that thing quickly or leave it, have an extra mag, whatever it is.
But, you know, I've also learned different things like entry points because of my height.
You know, Tony, you and I are stark, you know, differences.
So I've seen guys that will go into up-close barrels, and they're just โ
right over the top.
And I have to get a little bit tighter to it, as that affects things differently.
But I've learned a lot in only shooting five competitions.
And then I just also do osmosis, consume it from everybody else.
But I'm definitely going to be getting into some more this year.
For us, the Concealed Carry League starts end of March, actually.
