Welcome everybody. This is episode 80 of the Mac Bros Show. My name is Josh, also known as J-Weth, and my co-host is not here this week. Darius is doing some travel and stuff for his family. So I've got some guests with me today. We're going to talk about who they are, what they do. You might be new to them, and you might know what they can offer you.
But then we're going to just have a fun talk tonight. We're going to talk about, apparently, someone. Someone over here, there he is, might have the fastest hands in the Midwest. And we're also going to talk about some gear and stuff. You guys have got pipes and cigars.

Chapter 2: What training philosophies enhance competition performance?
But before we get into any of that, I'm always wanting to stick to tradition. Darius normally leaves me with a fun fact, and he didn't. So I have one for you, gentlemen. And I think I like things that are not gun-related as fun facts. Did you guys know that pepperonis are actually like an Americanized thing? It's actually not an Italian meat.
Pepperoni as we know it is an Italian American and not traditionally Italian. It was created in the early 1900s by Italian immigrants adapting their cured meats to our American tastes. So, if you go to Italy, I have never been, but if I ever do, you will not find traditional pepperoni there. You'll find, so, prosciutto, salami, and salami picante.
Most Italians actually don't call their sauces pepperoni because it literally translates to bell peppers. So now tourists are a little awkward when you order pizza, especially Americans in Italy.
Right. You're getting salami, not pepperoni.
That's right.

Chapter 3: How does LaughNLoad approach shooting matches?
That's right. So, I mean, you could go there with our Americanized Chinese food, too, right? Yeah. Yeah. And all the MSG and all that.
some orange chicken from panda express sounds great right now right right that's hey that's a good that's a good idea well before i get into more of the show um i would like for our folks i got some new new folks here as well as some return uh watchers and viewers of the podcast uh for you guys that don't know this show is live on instagram but we also post it on the firearms radio network
We get over 500 to 700 downloads every week per episode. And then it also goes on Rumble, the video. So if you don't catch all of it, you got to leave or you come in late, you can go back to Rumble and catch it later. Or you can catch it on any podcast audio format and you'll hear the whole conversation.
But before you get more from me, let me introduce my two guests today that are doing the heavy lifting for Mr. Deez Gaines, who's not here. We've got Tony from Laugh and Load and Rob from Mad Science Tactical. Tony, please introduce yourself, let people know who you are in the 2A space.
Yeah, I guess, what's up? I'm just a local competitor from Chicago.

Chapter 4: What innovations are coming from Mad Science Tactical?
I shoot USPSA a lot, and yeah, that's... I run Laugh and Load. We do some gun reviews, and we have a podcast, and yeah, just all general, just cool gun shit.
Rocking that.
Rob? We are Mad Science Tactical. We have a patented grip safety delete that is kind of making some waves, you know, getting busier every day and growing the brand. Uh, it's the best grip safety delete. That's not permanent. Won't wreck your pistol. And you can kind of just pop it in and out as you please.
Take that. Take that. Rob, do you compete at all or do any, uh, any fun shooting like that?
Yes.

Chapter 5: What are the surprising origins of pepperoni?
So I shoot USPSA and two gun out here at, uh, a QCL tactical has a range called arrow concepts training center. 25 minutes from my house. So I've got this amazing range that Rick has set up for us. And yeah, so we kick off our USPSA season March 3rd, first match of the year. So I'll be in limited optics this year. Usually I run open, but we're going to be in limb ops this year.
Okay, awesome, awesome. All right, I'm going to answer. I'd also like to make sure you guys know that I like to give the people on the live the opportunity to get their questions asked first. So Dusky, he's a frequent watcher, wants to know what platforms. I will just say openly almost everything right now, and if Rob doesn't have it, he'll probably get it and make it happen.
Is that fair to say, Rob?
Yes, yeah, you just need to let me know. You know, we do different things where – You know, I've got dozens of grip modules.
Chapter 6: How can a stock pistol compete with high-end firearms?
We've got 50 pistols sitting over here, you know. I know, I know. You know, but some are easier than others. You know, I got the Sand Viper up there. That was challenging. You know, so some are easier than others, but generally I can get my hands on anything or I have most things. And yeah, I'll make all kinds of combinations up and try to get it out there for people.
We've even done some test fitting, like, you know, an Instagram user messaged me. I was like, hey, I've got a Jacob Gray. I want to delete this grip safety. I've got no chance of getting a Jacob Gray at any local gun store. I don't feel like fighting with auctions on Gum Broker. I don't feel like the lead time on their website. You know, it's a good problem to have for them. Send me some pictures.
Chapter 7: What are the benefits of participating in USPSA matches?
did some measurements off of that, made a couple prototypes, and it worked. So, you know, then I'm meeting a customer at Aero Concepts on Sunday. We're going to shoot an Apache that I've been meaning to get my hands on, so. Very cool, very cool. Yeah, so I'll, yeah, I want to get as many as possible.
Like, I need a beaver tail, a mainspring housing, and a hammer plunger from that pistol, and I'll make it work.
Sick, sick. There's another question. Any YouTube videos about the grip safety delete? Mine's coming out next week. I just made one because I've got one in my C2 and in my P. That's basically cheating because it's the same one, but you can see how it works, how it pins that safety. No rattles, no issues.
This grip is just very much reduced because Monsoon chopped it up, but does the job very well. So I've been training with them both and running them.
Chapter 8: How do budget guns compare to premium options in performance?
They work. They're great. And these are the testers. As you mentioned, the testers can be shot. But I talked about in the video. So go to my YouTube channel, jwev2.0, and subscribe. Monday next week, I'll be releasing that video. And it's a short video. It's only seven minutes long. I try to keep it really tight this time.
Yeah, I'm a one-man show, so I kind of live on Instagram. It feels like the best place to do these things. So anything you see on my Instagram, I'll also have on the Rumble. I'm kind of, I'm new to the game, so I'm going to kind of roll the dice with Rumble. You know, they're a lot more open and accepting and allowing us to do the things that we want to do in this 2A space.
So I'm just going to kind of plant my flag there.
Rock on, rock on. Well, before I get into some more fun content and talk to you guys, I do have to do my obligatory ad read. This is our first episode. We are officially sponsored by Tag Precision. The folks there, I don't know if you guys use them. I use them. I've been for several years now using their iron sights, and I have them on almost everything.
I was going to grab my Echelon, but I don't have iron sights at that one, so...
great skin life, but I've got my Sakato C2 here, right, and I don't have my fiber in there, I took it out earlier, but if you guys are curious to know why they're good, first of all, their fibers are like twice the size and thickness, and the way they install is actually through a screw, they have their own technology they're developing that they've gotten now,
It's fiber lock technology, and so the front post here has a much thicker area where you put a screw, and that's it. You don't have to cut or melt, nothing. These, personally, all my guns are ported. They've lasted pretty well. So if you guys are curious about really solid fiber optics for most, if not all, pistol options out there, Go to Tag Precision. Use code JWeb15.
That'll save you 15% off at checkout on the entire store. And they're solid people. They go to all the events. The people behind the scenes are friends from former friends of Brownells. So we know them for a long time. And they're doing some good stuff. And if you gentlemen don't have Tag Precision sites, have you shopped the new Kimber 2K11? I have not.
Like the new new or the... The 2K11.
