And I think that suits the players that they've got.
Darcy Wilson was absolutely superb last night, running and carrying the footy 24 disposals.
He kicked a couple of goals.
You know, they were led, of course, by Jack Sinclair out of the back half.
It looked like Ben Keyes was going to go and do a job on him, and that didn't last long.
Sinclair had 17, I think, in the first quarter.
So I love the fact that the Saints are open to playing the game the way I think it needs to be played in 2026, and that's scoring or kicking 14 or 15 goals.
Brad Hill's been good over the past couple, and some of these young guys who can run and gun
getting involved in the game.
But ultimately, and I watched a part of Ross Lyons' press conference, and he did play funny buggers, and he can't do that.
To me, it's a little bit of nonsense, and I wouldn't love it if I was a fan of the Saints.
Okay, well, I'll just stand right back.
But they do play the game...
now in a way that gives them a chance to win and play in and participate in bigger games I don't think and this is my criticism of Collingwood which we can get to later if you are aiming to win every game 75 to 68 in 2026
I don't think you'll ever get that done.
No matter how staunch you think you are behind the ball, no matter how much you think you can hold momentum and kick and mark and control the tempo of the game, I just personally think you need to be able to kick 14-plus goals on average to win games of footy.
And ultimately, that's what we saw in two of the three games yesterday.
Yeah, well, and I wonder... This is not a criticism of St Kilda and not a criticism of Hawthorne, who have a similar conversation about Will Day.
The only issue with that is these guys... These guys are missing as much football as they're actually playing.
Max King, just having a look at his AFL tables, I'm thinking, jeez, I thought he played more years of footy than that.
