As always, thank you for listening and have a nice day, guys.
See ya.
Yeah, wait, is that... Oh, you turned the telly down in the background.
Oh, it's nice of you doing your homework as the UK correspondent.
Well, we were meant to actually do the record asking you thoughts, but then I suppose the news overnight kind of changes that a bit today, at least.
Yeah, Mello is, like, I think I met her two or three times, and, like, she genuinely was just, yeah, a nice... And it's funny, because on this show, often, like, the experts, I don't necessarily agree...
with what they do but i mean at the end of the day they are doing a job they are kind of instructed and it doesn't take away from her as a person that news broke maybe like 11 p.m here when i was just getting ready for bed and then obviously you can't sleep after that then i was watching hour after hour of like just interviews she's done over the last couple years and it's just really sad
You know what I think was kind of like, I say inspiring is a weird word, but like, you know, she found out I think three years ago she had colon cancer and then she kind of just said her approach was don't let that become her life.
She will carry on.
She'll push through.
And then I thought, well, it'd be nice to try and capture her
Mel in her words and especially her last couple of years and like the messages she had not just of like hey these are the signs of colon cancer and also pay attention to your body and like pushing that message but also just this
concept of like i don't know remember the important things in life where i don't lose sight of that and because life is very precious so you have to make the most of each and every day yeah what i found quite nice about mel which i think is a good thing for people to remember is like
She got to, I think she was 40 years old, and she was saying in this interview I watched last night, she'd never had a maternal bone in her body, never thought about kids, never wanted kids, always said, not for me.
And then she met her partner, Gareth,
And then she was like, suddenly everything kind of just changed.
And I suppose when I keep thinking, like, what messages can people take from Mel Stone?
It's like, I suppose at 40, most people think their life is set in stone.
You may have taken a path you don't necessarily like and you think, well, you know, I'm kind of, I've made my bed now.
This is...
