I think if you're someone that believes in Dave Canales, Dan Morgan, and what they've done for Bryce Young, you understand that this was a draft that was a draft that the Panthers believed they're well on their way to becoming a consistent contender, and they could draft for the future.

They didn't have to draft for right now.

I wanted to get another weapon.

I do look at the wide receiver and the tight end room, and I thought they could have added

someone there in the first round, and that would have been justified.

But you got someone at left tackle that I think is going to be the answer in the long term there over Ike Ikuonu.

And, you know, it probably sucks for Ike that an injury maybe forced their hand in going in this way in the first round to draft Monroe Freeling.

But I think he's already a better pass blocker today than Ike has ever been.

And so I think in the long term, this is going to be a really smart draft for the Panthers.

And then the Lee Hunter pick in the second round was my favorite draft selection of their entire draft.

I'd spent a lot of the pre-draft process complaining about the loss of A'shaun Robinson.

I thought you had to find a way to replace him and to get someone that was that impactful for one of the best defenses in the country last year.

in the second round.

I thought it was a great value pick.

And that was ultimately my biggest takeaway for Dan Morgan's third draft.

I thought he got legitimate value with every single pick.

Look at Sam Peck.

A lot of people had him at the day two selection and got him in the fifth round.
