I don't know across any sport if we've seen someone replace a legend the way that John Shire has replaced Coach K there in Durham.
That program hasn't missed a beat in terms of what they've done recruiting out of the high school ranks.
They've been a player in the transfer portal and conceivably every year they're the favorite to win the ACC and they're usually on the short list of teams that can win.
With that being said, it was John Shire and the Duke program that their message was, hey, we can't keep doing what we're doing.
We have to change because we're not getting the results that ultimately we want to get, that we expect to get.
