And actually, in John Chayka's case, the bar is so low that minimal positives initially will be embraced.
Matt Sundin knows about negatives.
He came here with a negative.
He was traded for Wendell Clark.
There was a negative about that.
It was a great trade, great trade for the Leafs.
He left with negatives.
He was one of the Muskoka Five.
It got leaked that he wouldn't waive his no trade.
He had a bit of a disconnect from the franchise.
In between, he was a Hockey Hall of Fame player and a great consummate captain on and off the ice.
So he understands all about the white noise and all that other stuff that happens here in Toronto, and they're going to have to understand that's the reality here, and you've got to try to succeed and do your best with that kind of environment because it's a great environment.
It's the number one hockey market in the world, okay?
And that's always got to be put in place, and that's always a fortunate thing.
