Well, unfortunately, the Voodoos don't have a lot of options because they are a little bit stuck with some of the other guys on the IL.
Obviously, we heard earlier this week, Brios, there's some question marks in terms of
when he'll be back or there's been some setbacks with his situation.
Bieber, I think, is still a few weeks away.
And so you're not having that kind of there's no immediate hole to plug.
Scherzer as well is seemingly working on the forearm, got a got a courtesan shot.
I think earlier this week, but still it doesn't seem like there's an immediate fix, right?
Other than like trying to figure out what to do with Lauer.
Can you, I don't know, can you spend the next few days before the next time he's due up in the rotation to find some quick fixes?
Yeah, and it's tough.
Like, I mean, it's tough to be out there.
I'm sure you feel like you're on an island when things aren't going well.
He knows his season has not been what he wanted it to be.
He knows he's coming out in a situation where, yeah, the Blue Jays want to get a sweep.
They want to get rolling here before the Rays come in for a tough series and to immediately feel kind of deflated, immediately give up the lead.
It's it's hard to have that positive body language, but you have to try a little bit and and you know with lower I'm sure he feels like it's spiraling.
I'm sure he feels like Frustrated with the season has not gone the way he wanted it to like we talked about he's getting Sick earlier in the year that seems to really have thrown him off and so it's tough to go to be out there and have this positive demeanor obviously that's a fine line between
bad body language and just kind of being professional or just sort of like trying to roll with it but I think you even saw like Heinemann trying to encourage him in that inning like you know like let's just focus on the batter let's just focus on this guy like don't worry about the guys on base and so like you see a guy like Heinemann like trying to encourage Lauer so obviously like the frustration is clearly visible and if you're the Blue Jays though like yeah I mean I think if you're John Schneider
You don't want to hear him coming out to the media and talking about excuses or talking about routine.
Like, I think that the way that this unfolded to me, it tells me the Blue Jays probably scripted it out and explained to him, hey, this is what we're going to do.
