Like, they're playing the Rays.
That's going to be a tough series.
I mean, they're going to be at home, so you hope they can win the series.
But we know Tampa Bay is playing really well right now.
Then you go to Detroit.
Like, maybe you can take advantage of a Detroit team that hasn't got off to a great start either.
Obviously, Scooble's out.
So, like, maybe you hope to win that series or even sweep, although on the road it's tough to do.
And then you face the Yankees for four.
That's going to be a tough series.
So, like, you look.
you look down the line it's like they've got some tough series so to go on that to go on a stretch where you're winning six seven eight games in a row which is kind of what you need to do to really gain some ground you just need to go on like a run where I don't know maybe it's not eight in a row but maybe you win seven of eight or like you kind of have a run where you just are predominantly in the win column and then that's when you kind of can
can make up ground and of course if you're faint facing the rays if you sweep that series that'd be excellent you can gain three games on them right there and then obviously you have the yankees for four games so you can gain ground a little bit but you also kind of have to take advantage of other parts in in your schedule where you can rack up some some wins hopefully and and yeah you you just want to get on a roll a little bit so that you're not feeling like you're taking
uh always one step forward two steps back the way that it's kind of felt a little bit lately like we talked earlier I think in the pregame where they went on a roll a little bit but then it kind of was like felt deflating on the road trip where you split against Minnesota when it felt like that was a series they could win in over four games and then you get swept by the race so it was they were getting on a bit of a roll and had some positive momentum and then that road trip wasn't ideal
Yeah, I mean, look, I mean, he was great today, as you say, really impressed by him and impressed by him overall, because this is not a guy that has a ton of experience, right?
He's a rule five guy.
He's not pitched at the major leagues before.
He's barely pitched at the minors, honestly.
And so he's this is like everything that he's doing this year is new.
And so the Blue Jays, on the one hand, probably don't want to overextend him.
