Yes, he still has some trouble with giving up some home runs and giving up a
you know a couple hits here and there but yeah no at one point he kind of started to figure it out when he was spotting his pitches a little bit better he wasn't the velocity maybe ticked up slightly towards the end so it does feel like he's able to kind of pitch his way into some starts but the problem for him to some extent has been the long ball and the other problem has he's had some times where a start just unravels a little bit with one really bad inning and then he's
He's able to sort of get into the start a little bit and sort of steady himself.
But at that point, you know, the game is out of reach or it's just like, you know, his ERA is ballooned, all these types of things.
So, yeah, it sounds like he's reflective and it sounds like he knows the situation that he's in, the situation he's put the team in.
He knows what his numbers say.
He knows what he did last year.
He knows what he's capable of.
He knows he's not doing that.
at the moment.
And so he's smart enough to know how major league teams work and that you do have to continuously earn your spot in the rotation on a roster.
And right now he's not doing that.
The benefit for him probably is that the Blue Jays don't have a lot of options.
And so I think he will have some runway.
I know people say, oh, I don't want to see him make another start.
I don't want to see him again.
We'll see what happens.
I think the Blue Jays probably will give him another opportunity, at least out of the bullpen, and see if he can kind of rectify things a little bit from there.
Yeah, and then you look at the stretch of schedule.
Like, where do they do it, right?
