He was sort of started slowly.
To some extent, maybe it's a little bit of a pattern with Ladd that just takes a little bit of time for the warm-up, at least power-wise.
And yeah, like on the season, he's still hitting above 300, which I know is because he was hitting like 350 earlier and it's come down to earth a little bit.
In the last 10 games, he has not been as productive.
And I know that batting average also is not like the be-all and end-all.
You know, you want to see other things.
He is getting on base.
He does take his walks for the most part.
Again, not as much lately, but...
I think that, yeah, if it's June and we're still talking about this, then maybe that's the time where you're starting to think, okay, maybe we need to mix up things in the lineup a little bit.
But I think right now you're probably going to give him the benefit of the doubt that he's going to be able to figure it out.
Yeah, and it's like you said, they're coming up on a very, very busy stretch of the schedule where they're not going to have any off days.
And they're going to have to rely on everybody on the pitching staff to do their part.
And so the Blue Jays in the interim, they're going to have to just kind of figure it out.
And maybe you're going to see them approach other Eric Lauer opportunities like this, right?
So maybe he's not going to start.
Maybe they're going to...
have openers or they're going to have him be the bulk guy and come into the game at the most opportune opportunity for him and and hope that he can kind of figure it out from there.
And yeah, it's like we saw him today.
It's like he sort of worked his way into the start a little bit.
