it would be a tough blow for the blue jays of course and especially for addison barger because he comes back and is immediately impactful albeit not with his bat with his arm but just kind of shows you the player that he could be and he's really exciting to watch i mean he was obviously really a fun player that broke out last year for the team and had some really fantastic results and looked like he was

earning his way into being a steady part of this lineup and then just has had a lot of injury to start the year and and you know had a slow start to the season so this would be another significant blow to him hopefully hopefully he just woke up sore because I don't know he hasn't been playing much and some but he's still young so I don't know his he should be limber you know

No, I think the Blue Jays would be pretty slow and hesitant to move Vlad from the three hole.

I mean, it's just a spot in the lineup that he.

likes hitting at he's one of those players that I think as you say like stars in general you kind of defer to them and it's not as though the Blue Jays will never move off of something like we've seen in the years past that when George Springer was struggling they moved him out of the lineups sorry out of the leadoff spot and so the Blue Jays will do it like they they're not so stuck in their ways that they refuse to

make any changes but I think with Vlad in particular again like let's let's look at it's been a fairly small sample I mean I understand the last 10 games or so has not been good for him but we've seen him go through these types of stretches before and then figure it out and

uh he's a guy that he is incredibly talented and oftentimes he is able to make the adjustment and right now it's taking longer than you would like it and and that is just kind of magnified by the fact that yes the wjs still aren't quite clicking offensively and overall the season has not been uh the greatest start it's that's magnet magnified even

further by the fact that the yankees and the rays are off to a really good start you just got swept by the rays they're coming into town you're looking on the horizon the yankees are coming up you haven't even faced them yet so that's going to be a big series so you almost start to spiral a little bit and you'd like you start to uh wonder like all these different things and i'm sure that john schneider and everyone on blue jays coaching staff and just front office and everyone's

trying to figure it out and, and you're not trying to react too quickly.

You're not trying to make any sort of knee jerk reactions.

Um, especially with, with something like Vlad, because you kind of understand that he can figure it out and we've seen him go through these ruts before.

It's like, you know, the, our earlier caller said, I mean, where he was at around this time last year was not dissimilar.

He didn't have that many home runs at this point last year.
