They know who they're going to look at and focus on. So you can't just suddenly have an idea and railroad the whole process. You have to be in focus. I didn't think about that. So I always say to actors, if you're improvising, even within a sitcom, you have to know the parameters so that you're bringing a gift, not presenting a problem. Mm-hmm.

And I actually learned a great relationship with the camera, which I had never learned before. And I'm so grateful that they had the patience to go, okay, can you just do it one more time?
