Now, this is interesting about you because we are all familiar with the template of the artist who
by dint of the definition of what an artist is, it requires a huge degree of selfishness, which is to focus on the self and the calling of the self.
But you also straddle a more prosaic world, which is as a wife, a more like earthy world as a wife and a mother and a daughter and a sister and an aunt, blah, blah, blah.
How is that tension served by an artist?
And what are the sacrifices that you have made?
Because it comes at a cost.
But sometimes it's hard for people to come back from that.
And, you know, if I look at your career...
Which you are now being honoured by the ARIA Hall of Fame, which is an extraordinary honour.
It's a massive honour.
Well-earned and a long time coming, given that I believe you've never actually, they never gave you an ARIA.
